Upcoming Washington State Public Library Directors’ Meeting

Twice a year, public library directors from across Washington meet for professional development, collaboration, and fellowship.

February 26–27, 2026 – Tacoma Public Library, Central Library (Tacoma, WA)

Agenda will include sessions on intellectual freedom, foresight and future thinking, rural brain health initiatives, and library foundations and support networks. Featured speakers will include State Librarian Sara Jones, Abby Moore, Christi Jacobson (HCMP), and labor attorney Erin McCool, alongside updates from the Washington State Library (WSL), Washington Talking Book & Braille Library (WTBBL), Washington Library Association (WLA), and the University of Washington iSchool. The meeting will also include a Public Libraries of Washington business meeting and welcome new directors.
