Upcoming Washington State Public Library Directors’ Meeting
Twice a year, public library directors from across Washington meet for professional development, collaboration, and fellowship.

September 25–26, 2025 – Libraries of Stevens County, Loon Lake Library (Loon Lake, WA)
Agenda will include sessions on ballot initiative strategies, liability mitigation, and foresight/future planning for public libraries. Featured speakers will include Tom Fay (Seattle Public Library), Cheryl Heywood (Timberland Regional Library), and State Librarian Sara Jones, alongside sessions on positive childhood experiences and legislative advocacy. The meeting will also welcome new directors and provide updates from the Washington Library Association (WLA) and the University of Washington iSchool.
